Abaynat chalet rentals is a family adventure that has been going on for 25 years.

It began with the children’s desire, Nicolas and Dominique, to live in the mountains, and the discovery of a large Cerdan farm abandoned for half a century. After about ten years of work, two holiday homes were made available for rent through Gîtes de France.

The discovery of an old chalet from 1870 that once housed the composer Béla Bartok in Romania sparked ideas for future projects. The craftsmen from Maramures have preserved a real talent for working with wood, and that’s why we entrusted them with the construction of our chalets, whether newly built or composed of several old chalets, always made of solid wood, as in the past.

The family once again greatly participated in their reconstructions and arrangements.

Today, these masons, carpenters, and woodworkers enthusiasts have put away their tools and are taking care of the seasonal rental of these accommodations, for your enjoyment.
